The Hidden Skill That Boosts Time, Money, and Confidence.
Whether in automotive 🚗, tech, engineering, HR, or architecture 🏛️, one skill can drastically change how you move up the ladder, how effectively you lead, and how much money you make. Surprisingly, it’s a skill no school teaches: public speaking 🎙️.
From early school days, we were thrown in front of a classroom with no training in confidently delivering a message. Fast-forward to adulthood and many professionals feel impostor syndrome on stage, like you don't belong there. Worse yet, we've set a lower bar for speaking. I'll explain later...
Many teachers have told me they’re scared of public speaking, and I say, "But that's literally in your job description!"
We laugh 😂, but it’s true.
Sales managers speak for a living, but with a few tweaks to their approach, I’ve seen teams go from high turnover to high performance. Fun fact: high-performance teams hire high-performance speaker trainers.
I've talked to architects who feel nervous about raising their hands in meetings to voice a valid objection. One project I know went over budget because an architect didn’t feel confident enough to speak up.

How Public Speaking Skills Save You Time ⏱️
One surprising benefit of enhanced public speaking skills is how much time we save. Whether you’re preparing for a pitch 📊, motivating a team or speaking impromptu, effective communication makes everything smoother and faster.
Speech Preparation:
Have you ever overprepared a speech? Me too, everybody has, and many people never learn to optimize their time. Even worse, they don't optimize their presence.
Public speaking training teaches you to quickly organize thoughts and structure a talk that resonates with your audience, saving you valuable time ⏳.
Case in point: I worked with an automotive sales manager who was on the verge of being laid off at the start of COVID. When he read the warning email he got up from his desk and walked to the general manager's office, preparing a 60-second speech on his way. In his words, "I just kept running through the structure you outlined."
The next day there were no walking papers on his desk, and a few days later he found out that he saved over 200 jobs!
Now remember, you can also under-prepare your talks!
Yes, it's equally as bad.
Tip: Under-preparing wastes others' time, and overpreparing wastes yours. Find the balance!
Handling Objections:
In any industry, objections arise. A confident public speaker anticipates these objections and addresses them seamlessly. Impromptu speaking is a breeze, when networking, people always compliment how memorable my introductions are.
With the right tools, objections are opportunities to keep conversations productive.

Overcoming Impostor Syndrome Through Public Speaking 🧠
Many professionals struggle with impostor syndrome. They feel out of place, unsure if they’re as capable as others believe, or worry they’ll be exposed during presentations.
Public speaking training builds confidence by helping you refine your communication skills.
The more you perfect practice, the more confident you become—not only in speaking but in attitude.
When you can confidently express your thoughts, facilitate meetings, or deliver a presentation, imposter syndrome loses its grip. You name your problem, make friends with it and it goes away. You realize that your voice deserves to be heard 🗣️, and you have what it takes to lead and inspire others.
And the Bonus: Skilled Speakers Earn More 💸
Confident communicators advance faster in their careers because public speaking goes beyond just delivering a message—it makes you a better leader. Skills developed in public speaking extend to every corner of your personal and professional life, from negotiating raises 💵 to leading teams with authority to social media posts to family. This all translates directly into financial success.
Studies show that individuals with strong communication skills earn more than their less-confident counterparts. It’s a win-win: you save time, overcome doubt, and boost your earning potential 💰.
Why Didn’t School Teach Us This? 🏫
Great question! I’ve trained students in six countries 🌍, including students from the most prestigious private schools, and NONE offered comprehensive public speaking training.
The schools have debate clubs but only for a select few students.
The occasional teacher offers pointers, ones I often disagree with, but true training is rare.
To anyone who thinks speaking is just “standing in front of people,” let’s put that to the test with these “untrained speakers” tells:
- Body language: Do your words match your body language and facial gestures? What’s the move that suggests supreme confidence? 🕴️
- Humor: Does the audience laugh on command? 😂
- Rapport: Does the speaker respond to the audience's energy and lead them smoothly? 🤝
- Storytelling: Is there an impactful, hypnotic, transformational story? 📖
- Persuasion: Are hecklers and objections handled with ease? 🎤
- Motivation: Is the audience elevated? 🔥
- Education: Does the audience feel well-informed? 🎓
- Timing: Is the speaker able to speak in any timeframe and always be impactful? ⏰
- Comprehension: Can members of the audience remember key points a week later? 📊
- Confidence: If we were talking and you asked what I do, and I said, "I train public speakers."
What would your response be?
The hardest part of my job is breaking bad habits that develop in speakers who “learn on the go.”
Conclusion: Master Public Speaking, Master Your Career 🎉
If you want your team to be at the top of their game, save time, handle objections smoothly, and earn more money—public speaking is the key. And it’s not just about standing behind a podium; it’s about commanding every conversation, every meeting, and every opportunity.
The best part? Anyone can learn these skills now.
We’re here to elevate communication and leadership to the next level.
